Kay Warren interviews Jerry Sittser, author of A Grace Disguised. Jerry experienced catastrophic loss when a drunk driver hit his minivan and in an instant he lost three generations - his mother, his wife and his daughter. And yet, Jerry has hope and a great new perspective on life and loss.

Singer/Rapper TobyMac shares about his grief journey and losing his son Truett, along with promises from God that have helped him along the way.

TobyMac ~ Sharing About Grief

Everybody grieves differently but what we all have in common is the need to have our grief witnessed. We need someone to be fully present to our loss without offering a silver lining.

When we see sadness reflected in the eyes of another, we realize our grief matters and we begin to believe we will survive and that a hope-filled future is possible. Life will never be the same but it can be really good. Our grief never ends because our love never ends.

Rick Warren introduces Dave who does a testimony about Heaven and losing his daughter, Jackie, to a brain tumor when she was 5 years old. King David, after losing his son, said, "I will go to him, but he will not return to me.” I will someday go to Jackie in heaven but she will not return to me on earth. This is the hope of heaven and our upcoming reunion with our loved ones who have passed.

My desire is to encourage and inspire you. This special video is called "TIPS FOR SURVIVING THE HOLIDAYS." Holidays are difficult days for the bereaved. Bereavement literally means to be robbed. The holidays are a time of giving, but all I could think about was what was taken from me. For many, the most difficult holiday of the year is Christmas. This day is synonymous with families being together. It is at this time that we become acutely aware of the huge void in our lives. My hope is to bring comfort and relief to those of you who are grieving.  God bless, grieve well.

Video: Tips for Surviving the Holidays

Surviving the Holidays

A SPECIAL VIDEO TEACHING AND EBOOK BY DR. DAVE PAGE

Hello, I'm Dave, and I'm truly sorry for your loss. I have a passion for helping families cope with loss and grief. I know firsthand what it's like to lose a loved one, having lost my precious 5-year-old daughter (Jackie) to an inoperable brain tumor. My mess has become my ministry. My pain has become my purpose. I'm the Director of Pastoral Care at Shepherd Church in Porter Ranch, CA., I'm also a Certified Grief Educator, and the founder of the Hope for Grief Community.

Hope for Grief Community is a safe space to find comfort and healing on your grief journey. We offer a Christ-centered approach to grief that teaches people to grieve well (yet not without hope) so they can live well. No person is meant to grieve alone. Healing happens in community. We help people discover that a positive future is possible, a life filled with joy, meaning and purpose after loss. Our grief never ends because our love never ends.
